Fynease started inside Ansid, a fractional CFO practice, as the system its own close needed. We made it available to every controller and fractional CFO who faces the same problem.
Fynease was built by Atif Ansari, a CPA who has spent ten years running Ansid, a fractional CFO practice serving multi-entity companies on QuickBooks Online. Every month, across every client, the same work appeared: export the trial balance from QuickBooks Online, open the prepaid schedule, run the depreciation model, reconcile intercompany balances across multiple companies, translate foreign currencies, rebuild the consolidation, and produce financials that required an explanation to hand to an auditor.
The work was correct. The process was absurd. Everything lived in spreadsheets with no audit trail, rebuilt from scratch every month for every client.
Two things became obvious from doing that work in spreadsheets. The mechanical half of the close is identical from one client to the next and should never be rebuilt. The judgment half, what the numbers mean and what management should do about them, is the part clients are actually paying for.
So we built the transformation engine, the consolidation logic, the foreign currency translation, the lead sheets, and the QuickBooks Online write-back.
At Ansid, the close stopped growing with the client list. A new client starts on the same standard close, and the same monthly briefing from its first close, and every client’s close sits on one screen. That is what lets a small practice take on more clients without hiring for the mechanical work. How Fynease works for fractional CFO practices →
“I did not set out to build software. I set out to stop rebuilding the same amortization schedule for the ninth client in a row.”
“Ansid is still a working practice. It runs on Fynease like any other firm does, with the same walls around its clients’ data as yours. Fynease was built for practices, and I have one, which is the whole point.”

Fynease turns accounting into management decisions. Closing the books, explaining them, and valuing a business are three different jobs, and Fynease runs all three on the same reconciled data.
Fynease Automate makes the books right: the transformation logic, the adjusting entries, the Balance Sheet sign-off, the audit trail. Fynease Intelligence explains what they say: the monthly management briefing, the variance decomposition, the forecast. Fynease Valuation, a paid add-on, gives an indicative view of what the business is worth for internal planning: quality of earnings, normalized EBITDA, and the working capital peg. Each stage builds on the evidence below it, which is why the conclusions hold up when someone checks them.
Ansid's clients ran on QuickBooks Online, and it did its job well: recording transactions, managing invoices and bills, handling bank feeds, and producing basic reports. What it does not run natively is the month-end layer a growing multi-entity business needs: schedules and adjustments, consolidation, foreign currency, and financials a board or auditor can rely on.
Fynease is that layer. It makes QuickBooks Online work for complex businesses, without replacing it.
Fynease is headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and serves in-house finance teams, controllers, and fractional CFO practices across Canada and the United States. Our QuickBooks Online integration uses OAuth 2.0 and is maintained in line with Intuit's API standards.
