Automate makes the books right

Everything that happens between raw QuickBooks Online data and financials you can sign off on. Configures once. Runs every month.

Schedules

Prepaid expense schedules

Fynease finds prepaid items in the ledger, or you import them from a template. Once confirmed, each is amortized monthly and the journal entry is posted. No spreadsheet to rebuild.

Schedules

Deferred revenue recognition

Recognize each item monthly, by the days it covers, or by amounts you enter for each month. Fynease posts the recognition every close once the item is confirmed.

Schedules

Fixed asset depreciation

Maintain your asset register in Fynease. Once you confirm an asset's schedule, depreciation is booked automatically at each month end (auto-post, switched on per entity) and, if you choose, sent on to QuickBooks Online the same morning, using your configured method: straight-line, declining balance at 200%, 150% or 100%, or a fixed declining rate.

Schedules

Loan amortization

Split loan payments into principal and interest components automatically. Principal reduces the liability. Interest posts to the correct expense account. Every period, without rebuilding the amortization table.

Schedules

Lease schedules

Right-of-use asset and lease liability schedules under IFRS 16 and ASC 842. Fynease posts the monthly interest and amortization entries, keeps the schedule current, and picks up mid-stream so entries already in QuickBooks Online are never double-counted.

Allocation

Cost allocation rules

Define allocation drivers: headcount, revenue, square footage, or any custom metric. Fynease applies allocations across departments, entities, or cost centers every close using the same logic each month.

Intercompany

Intercompany transaction management

Manage intercompany chargebacks with both sides of the entry, recurring intercompany templates, and correcting entries. Entity-level intercompany entries post to each QuickBooks Online company; elimination entries run at consolidation and stay in Fynease.

Intercompany

Intercompany reconciliation

Define which entities charge which, at what rates, in what currencies. Fynease reconciles intercompany balances, flags discrepancies, and generates elimination entries automatically at consolidation.

Intercompany

Intercompany found in trade AR and AP

Sales and purchases between sister companies booked to ordinary receivables and payables, with the sister company set up as a customer or supplier, are found by Scan AR/AP. You confirm or dismiss each item; confirmed items eliminate on both sides at consolidation. Needs the general ledger synced from QuickBooks Online.

Consolidation

Multi-entity consolidation

Consolidate QuickBooks Online companies and CSV-imported entities in one engine. Confirmed intercompany pairs are eliminated on every consolidated statement, foreign members are translated, and partly owned subsidiaries show their non-controlling interest, in the same workflow rather than separate spreadsheets.

Consolidation

IAS 21 foreign currency translation

Translate foreign currency entity financials using period-average rates for income statement accounts and closing rates for Balance Sheet accounts. Translation adjustments post automatically to OCI.

Consolidation

CSV and Excel entity import

Not every entity needs a QuickBooks Online subscription. Load any entity via monthly trial balance or GL transaction export via CSV or Excel. It consolidates alongside your QuickBooks Online companies in the same engine, no separate workflow.

Balance Sheet

Balance Sheet reconciliation and sign-off

Every Balance Sheet account is analyzed and reconciled within the close workflow. Review each account against source, make adjusting entries, and sign off account by account, timestamped and user-attributed.

Audit trail

Audit-ready lead sheets

Every Balance Sheet account has a structured lead sheet showing every entry, its source, and who approved it. Hand the complete lead sheet package directly to your auditor.

Write-back

QuickBooks Online write-back: entity-level entries

Entity-level adjusting entries (prepaids, depreciation, deferred revenue, loan amortization, and cost allocations) post back to QuickBooks Online in one click. Consolidation-only entries, including intercompany eliminations and currency translation adjustments, stay in Fynease as part of the consolidated close package. Your QuickBooks Online books stay clean and reconciled to your entity-level financials.

Output

Financial statement output

Consolidated and entity-level P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement, produced from your transformed, consolidation-adjusted data. Export to PDF or Excel.

Output

Adjusting journal entries

Every transformation Fynease runs (schedules, allocations, eliminations) generates a traceable adjusting journal entry with source reference. Full audit trail, no black box.

Integration

QuickBooks Online OAuth connection

Connect QuickBooks Online companies via secure OAuth. No data migration. No credentials stored. Your credentials never touch Fynease servers. You authorize directly through Intuit's authentication flow.

Intelligence explains what they say

Built on top of Automate-cleaned financials. Delivers the variance analysis, forecasting, and management reporting that is otherwise assembled manually every month, for your clients or your own management team. Included in every plan.

Analysis

Variance analysis

Actual against budget, prior period, prior year or forecast, on the statements and in the briefing, with your commentary alongside.

Analysis

Revenue and gross margin attribution by customer

See exactly where revenue and gross margin are coming from, by client, segment, and product line. Customer profitability shows which engagements generate margin. Product profitability breaks down contribution by offering.

Analysis

Price-volume-mix analysis

Split the change in revenue or cost of sales against the prior year into currency, volume, mix, price, and new and discontinued items, by item and by customer. It feeds the revenue and gross margin lanes of the briefing.

Analysis

Quality of revenue scoring

Recurring revenue, customer concentration, retention and a quality of revenue score, surfaced every close and reused by Valuation when a client enters a process.

Analysis

Receivables and payables analysis

An AR quality score, DSO and DPO with their window, and the aging behind the 13-week cash forecast. AR and AP tie to their aging sub-ledgers during Balance Sheet reconciliation, and AR and AP movement are separated out in the cash bridge.

Analysis

Segment and product profitability

Define reporting segments by class, customer or supplier, and lay the income statement out by segment, with an Untagged column so the total always ties.

Analysis

Margin analysis

Fixed vs variable cost decomposition, contribution margin by product and segment, breakeven revenue calculation. Margin sensitivity to volume and price changes, essential for pricing and growth decisions.

Forecasting

Rolling forecast

A three-statement forecast built from the closed books, ready with nothing to type in. Override any assumption, and it moves forward as each month closes.

Forecasting

Scenario planning

Run base, upside, and downside scenarios against the same driver model. Compare scenarios side by side. Show your client what the business looks like at 80% of plan versus 120%.

Reporting

KPI dashboard

Configure the KPIs that matter for each client: revenue growth, gross margin, burn rate, days sales outstanding, customer acquisition cost. Fynease populates them from close data every month.

Reporting

Board pack PDF composer

Assemble a board-ready package from blocks (statements, KPIs, bridges, commentary, the forecast) or start from a template. Formatted for presentation, with a cover page and contents, and exported as PDF or Excel.

Client delivery

Management access to Analysis

Invite a client's management team to Analysis for their company: the briefing and the analysis behind it. They see only their own company, and nothing else in Fynease. There is no separate client portal. Included in every plan.

Valuation estimates what it is worth

Activates per client at $249/month, only while a client is preparing for a sale, raise, or refinancing. Built on the same reconciled close data, so you are running analysis rather than starting a clean-up. Outputs are indicative and for internal use only.

Add-on

Quality of earnings with GL-level scan

Normalize EBITDA, identify non-recurring items, and assess revenue quality. The scan runs against transaction-level data from the adjusted ledger, not a summary trial balance someone assembled the week before diligence.

Add-on

EBITDA normalization and add-back schedule

Build the normalized EBITDA bridge with each add-back documented and traceable to its source entries. The judgment on what is genuinely non-recurring stays with you; the evidence is already assembled.

Add-on

DCF with calculated WACC and sensitivity

Discounted cash flow with configurable discount rate, terminal value, and net debt calculated from the balance sheet. Sensitivity analysis across key assumptions. Inputs pull from actual performance rather than manual entry.

Add-on

Working capital peg

Trailing twelve-month average working capital calculated from your Balance Sheet reconciliation data, the same reconciliation you signed off each month. It is the number your process produced, not an estimate for the deal.

Add-on

Value driver assessment

Graded assessment across the drivers a buyer will price: revenue quality, customer concentration, margin trend, working capital efficiency, and cash generation, each with an indicative uplift if addressed.

Add-on

Cap table and Valuation Book export

Cap table covering rounds, options, warrants, and convertible notes, with note rounds linked to the loan schedules in Automate. The full analysis exports as a single workbook with disclaimers applied to every sheet.

Security, access, and integrations

Built for professional practices that handle sensitive client financial data.

Security

Client data isolation

Each client's data is strictly isolated at the database level. No cross-client data access. No ability for one firm using Fynease to access another firm's client data.

Security

QuickBooks Online OAuth integration

Fynease connects to QuickBooks Online via secure OAuth 2.0. Your credentials never touch Fynease servers. You authorize the connection through Intuit's authentication flow and can revoke access at any time.

Access

Unlimited users

Every plan includes unlimited team members. Add your staff, your reviewers, and your clients' internal teams without paying per seat.

Access

Role-based permissions

Control who can configure close logic, who can post entries, and who can only view reports. Separate permission levels for your team and your clients.

Integration

QuickBooks Online (all versions)

Compatible with QuickBooks Online Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. Connects via official Intuit OAuth API. Supports multiple QuickBooks Online companies under one Fynease account.

Integration

CSV and Excel trial balance or GL transaction import

Any entity on any accounting system can participate in the Fynease close. Upload a monthly trial balance or GL transaction export via CSV or Excel file. The entity consolidates alongside QuickBooks Online companies in the same engine.

Questions about what is included

Answers on plan structure, add-ons, integrations, and where the boundaries sit between modules.

Are all Fynease features included in every plan?
Every paid plan includes the complete close layer and the complete Intelligence layer: balance-sheet schedules, consolidation, Balance Sheet sign-off, write-back, the monthly management briefing, forecasting, and board packs. Plans differ only by client and entity capacity. Valuation is the single add-on, priced per client for clients in a transaction process.
What is the difference between Automate, Intelligence, and Valuation?
Automate makes the books right: it runs the accounting transformation and produces a reconciled, signed-off ledger. Intelligence explains what the books say: it produces the monthly management briefing and the analysis behind it. Valuation gives an indicative read on what the business may be worth, for internal planning: quality of earnings, DCF, and working capital peg. Automate and Intelligence are always included; Valuation activates per client.
Does Fynease work with accounting systems other than QuickBooks Online?
Fynease connects natively to QuickBooks Online through OAuth. Entities on any other accounting system join a consolidation through a monthly trial balance or GL transaction export in CSV or Excel, and consolidate in the same engine. The close automation features (detection, schedules, write-back) are QuickBooks Online-specific.
What does Fynease write back to QuickBooks Online?
Approved entity-level adjusting entries: prepaid amortization, depreciation, deferred revenue, loan amortization, and cost allocations. Intercompany correcting entries also post to the individual entities. Consolidation elimination entries and currency translation adjustments stay in Fynease as part of the consolidated close package.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account starts with a free 14-day trial covering the full close layer and Intelligence, with no credit card required. You can connect a QuickBooks Online company and run a complete close during the trial without changing anything in your existing setup.
How many users are included?
Every plan includes unlimited team members. There is no per-seat charge. Role-based access controls what each person can do (configure close logic, post entries, or view reports only), with separate permission levels for your team and your clients.
Does Fynease use AI?
Only for detection and classification, where a person reviews the output before it affects anything: for example, surfacing candidate prepaids from the general ledger with supporting evidence. Every calculation, journal entry, consolidation, and analytical finding uses deterministic logic, so results are reproducible and every figure traces to source.
