Analysis, Revenue & Margin, Margin shows profitability by segment, customer, product, project or department. Pricing, beside it, covers unit economics, price against cost, and what a blanket price change would do.
Revenue, direct costs, contribution in dollars and as a percentage, burden, and pocket gross margin. Credits and discounts get their own column when there are any.
A margin by customer, product or any other view needs at least 70% of direct cost tagged to it. Below that, the Margin table, the gross margin bridge in Movers, the customer profitability exhibit and the Briefing's margin notes show the margin as withheld, with the coverage, rather than a number that would mostly reflect the untagged cost. Revenue and the cost that is tagged are still shown.
Related customers can be grouped so they count as one customer in margin, the customer bridge, price, volume and mix, and quality of revenue, with the members listed beneath.
